Hello, all. I'm new to the forum and happy to be here.
My wife has a Kymco Vitality 50 2t she no longer rides and I'm thinking some serious mods to turn it into a commuter for short highway duty. Shortly after we got it in 2008, I had the 70 cc big bore kit, weights ,varistor and stage 1 kit done. Does over 60-65 mph...depends who's on it..me or her. Anyway, I have an '01 Suzuki Bandit 1200S that is a great bike, though not the most economical...hence the scooter.
I was looking for a second bike, when I came up with some ideas for the scoot:
1) I'm thinking, would it be possible to install fork extends for larger, 15 inch, tires?
2) Also, thinking of extending the swing are 8" or so to accommodate the larger tire.
3) Here's the biggie: wanna put in a Linhai 260 (257cc) engine, will change the scoot from a 2stroke to 4.
4) Braided brake lines, cosmetic mods, etc..Don't wanna buy a scoot, wanna MOD.
What do ya think? Good, bad...help? Appreciate your thoughts, input, etc...Thanks!
