Trikers, If you have one of the 50ccs or 150cc trikes with a Straight Axle here is some info on it in case you have troubles: Here is a picture of your Rear Axle taken apart just in case you have to put in new Bearings. To pull the Axle out remember there is a "C" CLIP behind the Rubber Dust Cover. If you do not take the "C" Clip out you will not be able to pull the Axle out. Also on later 2009 models they added a Floating Ring that is Held by two Screws one on top and one on the bottom you will find those Two screws that screw into the Floating Ring about 4 inches from the end of the Axle Tube on both sides. Now to explain what function the Floating Ring and the Two Screws that hold it in place are for. In the earlier models the Actual Axles would start to move out and could come out quite a lot and your wheel would start to WOBBLE and damage your HUB SPLINES. So what they did is Weld a piece of Pipe over the Axles about 8 inches from each end of the Axles. Then they put a Floating Ring to act as a STOPPER about 1/4 away from the Raised Welded Piece on the Axle itself. So if the Axle starts to move out it will only come out until the Welded piece on the Axle hits the Floating Ring and stop there which is about 1/4 of an inch . But I have to say allowing 1/4 an inch is bad it will still damage your HUB SPLINES and your wheel will be WOBBLING A LOT cause its loose. But at least they may have saved LIVES by stopping the axle from coming completely out So if your Axles has the Floating Ring you will Need to Take the two screws out one on the Top and One on the Bottom as well as the "C" Clip if your going to pull the Axles out. Good Luck and MAY THE GODS BE WITH YOU Alleyoop
