Hello, this is GulfCaptain.
I know this question has been asked before but I am having a hard time finding any search and info on this subject. I have a Jonway yy250 (about 2009 mod.) I believed the timing chain may have slipped so I went to re-time the cam to the crank and lo and behold, the timing marks on the generator flywheel are for the spark time and not DTC. So I did the best I could to get the piston at TDC and according to what I could find, I put the cam shaft, "lobes down" with the large cam gear hole up and the smaller cam holes level with the top of the head. However, I can never get the two small holes to line up with the top of the head. When I put the assembly back together, I can feel air escaping out the intake valve on the compression stroke. (yes I checked the valves and valve lash adjustment) which to me says the valve timing is off. Any help here? Can you direct me to some info and possibly video or pictures of how to time this motor? Thanks!!

First question WHY do you think the cam chain jumped a tooth? That is very rare and one could see that in order for it to do that the chain would have to be very loose. Meaning the Chain Tensioner is not putting pressure on the chain guide. But to get it back in time bring the pistion up to TDC then put the cam back on and chain. Alleyoop
