Welcome Phillip, good to have you on the forum. Tell us a little about your ride, and maybe some pictures if you can. JR will put the pic of your ride on the ride scroll bar on top with your call name or name whichever one you want. Alleyoop

Phil, Yes the Reverse Trikes are NOT READY FOR PRIME TIME, many have nothing but problems with the front end. The motor is your very reliable GY6 157QMJ that you can mod to the hilt and easy to fix and do whatever. The problem is all in the front . I helped out several folks with them. Go read this if you are having problems with the front end. If it is something other than the front end just post your problems and we will get it fixed. Thanks for the link on the front end problem...but at the moment..the CDI is getting on the rev limiter very early...right around 25 mph...I have not been able toget the genuine Sunny Motor Sports repair manual so I can verify the ohm,s and voltage checks at the CDI...I found 2 totally different specs at various sites...so I'm still leary ?
thanks, Phil

There really is no way to check a CDI unless you have special equipment, they either work or not. What is happening at around 25 mph? It could also be a problem with the CVT weights and or belt and or clutch. If you can explain in detail what it does from start to where the problem starts I may be able to diagnose the problem. alley....using a timing light wrapped around the plug wire....looking directly at the timing light strobe...from idle to right about 20 mph ...the timing light flash's just fine...but...when you get to 25 mph the timing light turns on and off.....so it tells me the rev limit is coming in too quick....the bike does not have a tach so I can only go by what I hear by my ears ?

Happy new year and welcome to the forum . As far as I know the only way to test the dci is input voltage , pulse , ground and kill input . If you suspect the cdi I would order a spare for test .
I worked on one of the reverse trikes , I found the vac hose coming off the manifold was dry rotted . The seat bucket had to come out , there is a pin holding the seat where it hinges .

Reason some can sell so cheap is they are direct importers and buy some things in volume also another way they make it up is other parts are a little higher. I noticed their Clone Keihin 24mm Carb they want 45 bucks when you can find them for 25-30 bucks elsewhere(same carb). So the tip for the day is YOU GOT TO SHOP AROUND Alleyoop
