The valves both should be adjusted to .004 , .008 is to wide of a gap.
Good, so the question is ARE YOU GETTING SPARK and or GAS then. Alleyoop

We are getting spark. Even put a new plug in. It has to be the gas...

Did you guys test for spark? If so then it could be lack of GAS and or the VALVES. We can test for gas by taking the GAS HOSE OFF the carb and putting it in a cup and cranking it.
Also did you turn the FUEL MIXTURE SCREW CLOCKWISE until it stops and then TURN IT COUNTER CLOCKWISE 2 1/2 turns. That should be more than enough for it to run pretty good.
The valves with a gap that wide open will make it hard to start as well. They need to be both set to .004 inchs.

We have done all of that. As for the valves we set it at .008. We will try .004 tomorrow.

Good, then we shall hear how it sounds trying to start it and see if gas is getting to the carb. You can check if the CARB bowl is full by turning the screw next to the drain hose counter clockwise and fuel should come out. Also you can leave it open and crank it and fuel should keep on coming out telling us fuel is being pumped into the carb bowl and there is no problem with the pump then you can turn it clockwise and shut the drain off. Haven't done anything on the bike today because I'm sick but tell me about the electric choke. Could that be a problem?

The CHOKE(ENRICHER) works this way, when cold it feeds EXTRA FUEL to the motor for cold starts. Once the motor starts voltage is fed to the ENRICHER and the plunger extends out and shuts off the EXTRA FUEL for the cold starts. To see if it is NOT ALREADY EXTENDED and not feeding fuel for cold starts you can take it off the carb. and look at it. Alleyoop IF IT LOOKS LIKE THIS IT IS RETRACTED and will feed fuel for COLD STARTS: IF IT LOOKS LIKE THIS IT IS EXTENDED and will NOT feed fuel for COLD STARTS:

Thank you for that. What about the petcock? I think mine is attached to the side of the gas tank right above the fuel filter.. Ive ccalled a shop to repair it but I want to try tomorrow one more time to fix it before I have to take it...

You have to verify that gas is being pumped to the CARB. The drain hose on the bottom of the carb should be hanging down just in front of the CVT on the side of the motor put a cup under it to catch the fuel .Then turn the screw next to that hose on the carb COUNTER CLOCKWISE and about 2ozs of fuel should come out. Then crank the motor over and fuel should keep on coming out if so fuel is reachng the carb. Close the Drain Screw CLOCKWISE. Get back on this test. Alleyoop

Thank you for that. What about the petcock? I think mine is attached to the side of the gas tank right above the fuel filter.. Ive ccalled a shop to repair it but I want to try tomorrow one more time to fix it before I have to take it... It is a FUEL PUMP just like mine we went through that. BUT TO VERIFY if it is BAD DO WHAT I JUST POSTED. That will tell if the FUEL PUMP is bad and you need a new one or NOT. If good and you have spark THEN IT IS THE CARB that needs CLEANING the PILOT JET and PASSAGE are clogged and I will tell you how to clean it out using a CAN OF CARB CLEANER and the long thin straw it comes with. TO VERIFY IF THE PUMP IS BAD: You have to verify that gas is being pumped to the CARB. The drain hose on the bottom of the carb should be hanging down just in front of the CVT on the side of the motor put a cup under it to catch the fuel .Then turn the screw next to that hose on the carb COUNTER CLOCKWISE and about 2ozs of fuel should come out. I haven't cleaned the carb yet so that will be first thing done tomorrow. Im thinking that the fuel pump is bad...

DO THE TEST BEFORE you take the CARB OFF TO CLEAN IT to verify if the pump is bad. It will take you five minutes just turn the SCREW on the bottom of the carb COUNTER CLOCKWISE a few times just lossen it and fuel will come out of the hose IF there is fuel in the CARB. Then CRANK THE MOTOR OVER and fuel SHOULD STILL COME OUT that will prove that the FUEL PUMP IS WORKING.
IF IT IS WORKING THEN GO AND TAKE THE CARB OFF TO CLEAN IT. Otherwise you can clean the carb and find out you did not have to that the problem is the FUEL PUMP. Got to do things in the right steps.
