If you've looked at "Chain goes tight", You know that I had to order a new axle. It arrived today without the mod. Not sure what to do about that. It may be that the 150 Viking uses a different axle than the units requiring the mod. Looks like the right axle but I won't know till I try to install it. Winter will be here on Thursday so it may be a little before I try the swap. Good thing is that winter is only a couple of weeks at a time in this part of TX so I won't have to wait long. I'll post pics of the install.

29 teeth on the Differential, how many teeth on the front sprocket? My differential has 30 teeth and came with a 24 tooth front sprocket and I ordered a 29 front sprocket. Alleyoop

Little dark out there right now. I'll try to get a count tomorrow. I'll also recount the axle sprocket to be sure. What's the ratio? front/back or back/front? Sometimes my toaster doesn't brown the bread on both sides. The axle sprocket is 30 teeth.

For more speed you want a bigger sprocket on the front the DRIVE sprocket and smaller if possible on the Rear Sprocket. Just think of your CVT more speed the belt climbs high on the Variator and Down on the Clutch pulley. Also think of the MOPED with chains on them for more top end you put in a smaller sprocket on the wheel. On the mopeds there is no real room to put in a bigger Sprocket on the Driven Sprocket due to the casing I think only a sprocket with one more tooth will fit on the front sprocket.
But the best bang for your buck is at least 3" taller tires in the rear. Alleyoop

She'll hit 55 easily now which is fine cause she's a city girl. For that sort of stoplight to stoplight driving, I have more need for her to squat her big butt down launch hard. I have the 115mm variator, but when I tried to install it, I couldn't get the outer sheave and nut back on. Had the clutch opened up and the belt at the bottom, but if felt like the belt was to short.

Do you know if you have a Short Case Motor or Long Case? Short case motor has 8 bolts holding the CVT cover, a Long Case motor has 10 Bolts holding the CVT cover on.
What Size Belt is on there? Alleyoop

Long case 157qmj. All the "how to" say hook the clutch then do the outer sheave on the variator. Might try doing the variator and then the clutch, but I'm pretty happy with stock variator + sliders for now. I honestly don't remember what sliders I have. Think they're 12g. Running the stock belt but I don't know what number it is. I'll most likely wait till spring to mess with that part of it again. No one else seems to be having problems with this mod so it must be that my brain is a little cross-threaded.
