Jeff, don't mean to get you down but the way you want the scoot to run plus add more weight and wind resistance to it I really think you would do much better with a 250 scoot. The 250 will run all day at 60mph even with the extra weight and still have some left over with no mods whatsoever.
On the 150 build even with more displacement and cam and what not you will still need to put in taller gears , performance variator to be able to cruise at a good clip with lower than wot rpms. My 02. Alleyoop

Thanks all for the good input. They make a cool cooler that comes with the right case and has places for fittings so you are not using the bottom oil but comes out of the pressurized line right out of the motor. I will have to get a case and see if I can machine it to work like they have. Yes I was planing to change the gearing. Do to my situation and health I have very limited funds or I would by a bigger name brand scooter to begin with. All so being I work on motorcycles, have a small machine shop and a friend with a big machine shop I like building and modifying things my self. I am not thinking a 61mm cylinder with a plus 3mm crank. I am all so thinking about machining the piston where I do not have to use a cylinder base plate for the stroke if there is enough meat on the piston which I was told there is. I am waiting on the guy to call me back about the sidecar with questions I have one being weight among other things. Thanks Jeff

JR I was just using the one I posted as an example and plain on making my own set up. I would like to know if the super high flow oil pump is gears or gerotor? Another consideration is an external oil tank to increase oil capacity. Thanks Jeff

NO NO NO on the fan. Moves less air, it's a gimmick! Designed for racing only. Less drag = more HP all fine and dandy on a short track, not worth a flip in July in Georgia. More oil and external tank would be helpful but my fear? Not enough pump. Going to have to move it with other pump source. I believe the pump is gear rotor.

After looking I see they are the only company having/claiming such a item. All here that know scooters know that's not a good sign. I'm still betting that if you want a tank and cooler you'll end up moving the oil with a electric pump, which actually has advantages. Can buy exactly what you want as far as flow and know you're moving the oil correctly, with the GY-6 it's a guess? I know from working with it myself the pump on the engine is very poor. The pump I use never changes whether it's going down the road at 50mph or at idle. The cooling fin surface on this engine is nominal at best especially compared to the Harleys you've worked on.
Basically when it comes down to it the GY-6 is along the lines of a common lawn mower engine.

JR do you know anyone that has run that pump or does any one else know of some one? I wish when it comes to motorcycles in the 44 years of none stop riding and working on them I had all the money I spent to find out something is not any good!!!!! Thanks Jeff
