The old folks did have something --they seem to know when Indian Summer is here and blackberry winter--I am never sure what it is--I have one weather station ---it is something like an Indian rock--it is my trash can lid--I look out and if it is wet ,it is raining ,an if it is snow, get the shovel and salt and if it is dry,it looks like a nice day--if the wind blows hard,it will shimmy and shake--wind direction and speed--it indicates it all--now,the persimmon is high tech--I think I will get out my snow boots now--thanks JR,Happy Thanksgiving and happy trails--fflintstone

I can see you are in the forefront of all the weather JR,you always get it before we do so all I got to do is watch you to decide what my weather is gonna be in about 12 to 20 hours--and it is here this morning,36 F at daybreak, and 48 for the high--afternoon it is suppose to drop fast into the 20s,hard freeze tonight--some snow is supposed to be here later tonight--but I think it is too cold already--well,keep the hatches battened down, get the warm cocoa and coffee ready--we gonna get an early blast, according to your persimmon forecast and here it comes--happy trails, fflintstone ( a snowmobile would be ideal now)

Yes and they don't have a lot of sweet flavor, have tried them myself. I'll be picking persimmons today! Really cold down to 24F frost the last two nights have them ripe, soft and sweet! Going to store today to buy things for delicious recipes. Going to start with persimmon fudge.

i dont like this kind of persimmons , so bitter. yuck! Heh--I believe that is a tomato ,Luke--and those little crunchy persimmons, were they perhaps in a bag with Ludens printed on the bag?--lol--just joshing --enjoy the season,it gonna be a white and cold one according to JR's almanac and I already see some evidence--the water buckets are frozen over the last 3 days ,and cold rain is falling this morning--get the snowmobile out--and shovels and long johns--happy trails, fflintstone
