Good evening and Welcome to Scooter Professor. For all of you who have just joined and those I hope to follow I would like to personally say thanks for your support.
As some know I recently was at another forum that myself and another fellow built as we say in the south from scratch. Also some of you know that the partnership dissolved and that's why I opened this site.
But during the time I was there I did a lot of and I mean a lot of reading, research on other sites, forums and scooter websites and I discovered two things.
One was that there are so many places that had forums that either was like some of the ones we all know that are mainly Chinese and some that catered to only certain types like the Honda, Yamaha or other name brand scooters. You have clubs that say are Genuine scooters only or maybe Vespa clubs and while they may or may not had a little section for the other brands they still wasn't an all kind of scooter forum or club.
The other things I discovered when looking for manuals was that all folks have the same issues those who own a Honda or a Vespa or even a Suzuki all need some help or advice at times. We all read sometimes that some people use a dealer for mechanic support and that's great but some people who even have dealer support still sometimes join forums for fun like rides, meets and heck just to talk about their scooter.
In other words if it has two or three wheels(like more and more) scooters do then it's just a scooter! Doesn't matter what kind it is!
So that's why I put up some non Chinese sections. Now don't any of you start saying Ok JR are you going to quit us Chinese folks! LOL Nope wouldn't matter what I ever rode as far as a scooter goes I love Chinese scooters but I do believe that when a non Chinese scooter owner takes a look at this site (and I hope they do) they can see a bunch of people having a good time and even say "hey there is a section for all of us!"
If you take note the forum banner says WorldWide and lists lots of places and scooters.
I believe it can be done!
I've got lots of material to put in all the tech sections and it'll take time and lots of manuals Chinese and non Chinese and I plan on other things too but it'll take some time to get it all in so I hope you all can be patient with me and I'll work on it as much as possible each day.
This is the summer and all who know me know I'm up to my ears in garden and man is it hot! I've also due to a recent family situation now have two more additions to my family two grand kids ages seven and nine and man I'd forgot how much attention small kids need but they are also a joy and I love them very much.
Last but not least I would like to say that the greatest pleasure I get out of being on a scooter forum is just trying to help anyone who needs some help whether it be the guy who is very mechanically skilled or the beginner who needs more help. We all know that sometimes the only help that one gets with these "got to love them" scooters is good people like all of you who join in and just say "hey check this or check that" and that's what it all about! I know when I bought my first scooters I was lost until I found good people like are on and going to be on this forum.
So I hope you enjoy this forum and if any of you have a friend or even a relative who owns any scooter of any kind then send our way. If they don't have a mechanical issue the hey they can talk about the miserable weather or tell us a good cookie recipe or what ever!
Let's just see if we can be just like this old favorite and again
WELCOME ALL!
