hello people scoots got a new problem l try to explain when you start scoot she starts gr8 the problem is the back wheel used to turn around very slowly at idle not a problem Now the problem is that wheel spins way to far st now and you can feel it grabbing when shes not on her stand this has only started to happen could it be that spring inside is stuffed well l dunno the clutch pads look good well lm hoping l can figure it out

Are you sure it is NOT idling to high, it should only idle around 1500 rpms.
But if it is idling at 1500 rpms or so and it is grabbing then I would suspect a Clutch Arm Spring is Broke or where it hooks has broke off on one or more of the pads and is causing the pads to be thrown out at very low rpms.
The other possible problem could be the Variator is partially closed and the belt is high on the Variator and belt down in the Clutch Pulley. Alleyoop

The big nut holding it all together is 48mm. Then you will be able to see what the problem is: Alleyoop

thanks alleyoop the metal the clutch pad attaches to is that made out of alloy because if it is l found two little bit of alloy l looked n searched for any breaks or chips on the outercase and all around when l had the variator and clutch off scoot the little bits of alloy look like they may be off that if its alloy where the spring goes through the hole l dont have a socket big enough to pull the clutch apart so lm sorta guessing n running it parst you to help me which you and john and a few others allways do thxx again

Yep, like I thought a piece of alloy holding the spring broke off. If you have a big adjustable wrench you can use that or a big set of channel locks. To relieve the pressure to get the nut off PUT one knee on one size of the clutch and your your hand right across your knee and lean forward to compress the spring. Then with your other hand loosen the nut and take it off. DO the same putting it back on. Alleyoop Channel Lock Plier: Adjustable Wrench:

Yep, stronger clutch springs do that. If they are YELLOW, BLUE or RED they are stronger. Take the springs off the old clutch and put those on problem solved. Alleyoop

Great!! Yea the clutch you bought probably had stronger Clutch Springs which require Higher rpms to have the Pads swing out and grab the Bell to turn the wheel. Ride safe Alleyoop
