Just a short spell ago all remember when we had smilies and banners disappearing because of the new Photobucket band width limit and some may remember me saying that I was looking in to hosting the images/photos on the GogDaddy account I have for this forum. Well today I'm happy to announce we have no images/photos on this forum linking to photobucket caput, nada zero, bye bye! So hopefully with this change and GoDaddy's good reputation for good service and reliability we'll not see the missing images/photos again. Thanks to all for their patience and kindness. JR

More than likely not justbuggin but this is what the band width limit means. support.photobucket.com/entries/22511378-What-does-Bandwidth-Exceeded-mean-It all depends on how many pics you have, how many are posted and how many times they are used or as they say "hit". For someone who just uses it casually more than likely the free 2G they give will always be fine and you'll never know any difference. But say here on my forum every banner, smiley, logo, pic, etc. that I used here was on a photobucket account of mine and with people using it my band width limit was being exceeded and the result was missing images/photos before the end of the month. One gets 2G free starting at the beginning of the month and if it is exceeded say on the 20th of the month you lose the images/photos that exceed the limit until it resets at the first of the month. Or you have the option to purchase more band width which is the intent of the new owner of Photobucket which is Facebook. They just bought Tinypic also and I'm sure they'll not stop there, all this was done in a way of making a buck which is fine, they own it their privledge. Now the fees aren't unreasonable but for me I already have a godaddy domain/hosting account that I use for my tech section to host my PDF's and tech help so that's why I checked into putting all my images/photos on it. It doesn't cost me any extra to put anything on my godaddy so why would I pay Photobucket anything? It just took me a little bit to figure out how to exactly put them on there, once I did that then the thing that took so much time is transferring them which is a slow one at a time process. But I've got it done! Now I'll put everything on my Godaddy and photobucket can have there site, I'll soon be deleting stuff from there except just personal stuff that I know will not exceed the limit each month. Here's one thing that one can do if they wake up one morning and their stuff is gone like I had here and that's just make or open two photobucket accounts and divide your stuff between two accounts but I figure they'll soon limit ones computer IP address to one free account, but until then one could do that easily. Yup,I guess it is all about the money these days--you would think Facebook already got enough money....I have a Flickr account ,works pretty good,a Web Shots account that I can't even figure out anymore and they have limited space,Picassa is another one but I can't figure out how to transfer photos with it...I guess you gotta be a pretty good tech nowadays--fflintstone--
