need a little help with changing coolant in a roketa 54-250. radiator cap under seat. water pump located overflow tank in console next to gas tank. I assume the bottom screw on the water pump and the radiator cap off to drain. cant see the overflow tank other than its mouth. Is there an easy way to see how much is in the overflow without taking panels off? Once i have drained all fluid and flushed with water do i start it to drain all fluids? also it seems like the radiator cap is in a position which it might be below the radiator? any help would be great. thanks

Sncshriner, take a flashlite and shine thru the plastic grille in front of radiator, you will be able to see the coolant overflow tank and how much is in it there. After you drain old coolant and refill and flush and drain out that water, just close up the system and fill up with new coolant, when it looks like it is full at radiator cap, start the engine and let it idle with radiator cap OFF until it reaches normal operating temp, watch your guage so it doesn't overheat (in case the system has air in it) and after it warms up just top off the radiator and your good. The system is pressurized so the location of radiator cap should be ok. You can take an old turkey baster to suck out the old coolant from overflow tank and then fill it about 1/2 full or so. Barnie

You are correct about draining (lowest bottom screw on water pump) but the fastest way to get the most out of system is loosen radiator hose at its lowest point and the bottom screw on water pump but be very careful if u loosen the radiator hose as all the parts and fittings are very delicate and damage easily. Try the water pump screw 1st and if you don't get much coolant out of it, then u might consider the hose. Barnie
