Question for the Professors here....

I have a Honda clone engine in my YY250T-2. With that, why is the maintenance schedule different from the Honda?

For Example...

The oil change on the YY250T0-2 says to change every 650 miles vs the Honda engine is to change it every 4,000 miles.

Is there a posted maintenance schedule here somewhere for the 250cc Honda Clone engines?

The main reason for the difference in oil change intervals is that the Honda has a Japanese engine and the Chinese clone has a.... Chinese engine. Chinese engines do not have the same quality parts and metal. The softer metals in the Chinese engines will wear faster and contaminate the oil faster. Since there is no true filter, the more frequent oil changes are suggested.

BTW- the Helix oil change interval is 1250 miles while the Reflex is 4000 miles. The Chinese clone is a copy of the Helix engine.
