I've not had any experience with one but I've seen several. I know the alignment is critical.

TowPac makes some nice looking units but they will not fit all scoots, and you will have a 4 wheeler not a three wheeler. That said, would you need a motorcycle endorsement??

Well its all a moot point now. Just got back from a 573 mile round trip to Knoxville Tennessee to pick up a tow pac mini. I got it for $750 off CL. It rained all up and back. Man what a nasty day. Maybe I can get installed in a week or two If it ever stops raining. Dave

Great buy. What scoot are you installing it on? They make the unit I would want if they made one to fit the Buddy 170i. As for weather, you are 40 miles south of Atlanta and I am 55 miles north of Atlanta. Rain now thru Tuesday, dry Wed. thru Fri. rain returns on Sat.. I shoulda bought a boat. Be sure to keep us posted on the instllation and how you like the end product.

It came off a 400 burgman, so I'm going to get the bracket kit for my scoot from tow pac co. as soon as I can order it. They do make a kit that will fit your Buddy 170i It's a micro mini. .4smileys.com/smileys/vehicle-smileys/motorcycle19.gif[/img]" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">.4smileys.com/smileys/vehicle-smileys/motorcycle19.gif[/img] As for the rain, when I got home yesterday at 8:26pm there was 8 inches of water in my side yard & 3 inches in the front. Was looking for the ark to float by. Dave

Here is the 650 executive burgman I bought 2 years ago and sold it to my brother-in law. It had the Voyager Trike kit on it. And if your state is like Illinois you need a M license on anything over 49.9cc's. Also here in Illinois since it is more than 2 wheels they also limit you to 3 or more wheels If you come in to take the test with 3 or more wheels on it. Reason being is the test is different because a 3 or more wheel vehicle cannot zig zag around the CONES. Alleyoop

DX Yup Alley that's pretty much how it is here luckily I've had my class m endorsement for over 30 Yr's. now if I'm not mistaken the voyager will let you lean 15 degrees. The tow pac won't . I got sunshine most of the day, now it's Raining cats & dogs. Dave

Just got back to following this line. Dave, I was told by TowPac when I asked recently that they do not offer one for the Buddy 170i. I am extremely pleased with the 170i, just getting it broken in but it is a runner!! Still riding my TGB tug/hack so I am not without 3 wheels!! Hoiw did your towpac deal work out for you???

I would want to know more about the differential. It is an OPEN DIFFERENTIAL very simple design straight axle, the axle they use is the same one that I have on my Trike. The only difference is the one they use has only 2 mounting brackets which come with ICE BEARS 50cc trikes. The 150s come with 4 mounting brackets the axles for the 50s and 150s are identical except for the 2 extra mounting brackets on the 150s. Alleyoop

I am extremely pleased with the 170i, just getting it broken in but it is a runner!! Still riding my TGB tug/hack so I am not without 3 wheels!! Hoiw did your towpac deal work out for you??? My bad wolfhound I thought they did. As for my Tow Pac, Slow very slow. I called Tow Pac Tech. sup. they say may not fit my scoot.(I know it will) They say send photos of Tow Pac & I'll call you back. So I did & no call back. I called them back 3 times & no returned call Then 2 days latter I check e-mail. Ok 1 from Tow Pac it said In order to install this unit on a Helix, you need only a bracket kit. Brackets are $330 shipped, plus tax if in Illinois. No sheep dip batgirl. Wt is the part#!!! So I e-male them back. To ask for part# and get. You will receive a manual with your bracket. There is no part number associated with this bracket kit, simply order by year, make, and model. :-XThat's not what 1st e-mail said. So I'm going to call some of there Dealers maybe there customer service is better. Ive removed the fiberglass wheel covers to prep for paint. That's all done. PITA it was & trying to paint today wile the humidity is low. Also totally rewiring them going. With these Led assembly's for front & back lighting. #1 is 18 watt 60% flood. #2 Is Stop/tail/turn. Both are bright so they cant say ,I didn't See him. So that's were I'm at on tow pac. Here is my Newest ride got it yesterday(stock photo) for $16.04 at salvation army. 2 hours after Doc that I need both hips & a knee replaced at age 48. Can you say sucker punched Ohhh Well life go's on. Now I'm trying to work out how to hook up a turbocharger to it... Dave

Thanks cruiser. I learned a long time a go to take life as it comes. I remember Silver Bullet very well. I've pretty much read all Stephen King has wrote. Mod's to will be simple paint, some biker stickers(to make people think),removable shopping basket & wheelie bars. Then I'm good to go. Dave
