Put 55/60 Xenon headlight bulbs in scooter was told stator will not keep up with these. Opon removal of flywheel found 6 pole stator.

And wires




Can changing stator to 8 pole stator with these wires possible?
Was told on another forum other components would have to be changed also.
Or does anyone know where I can get brighter lower watt bulbs? or how high can I go that the stator will keep up?

Wow Nova, didn't know some Bali's came with a 6-pole stator. Yes you can change to a 8-pole stator and the R/R and wiring will work with no problems. Here is an example of one that should bolt up:

There are lots of listings here and the key is to check your bolt hole spacing for a match and make sure it is AC type with 5 wires and the colors should be

To R/R

Yellow
White
Green

CDI

black/red
blue/white or red/white.

We have some preferred vendors on the banners above that will know this like no business at all, tvnacman,scrappy, abscooters, etc.

Then you can put some good bulbs in and rock and roll. Come on guys lets tell him some good bulbs to use.

If you want to have more electrical power to drive the lights and keep your battery charged . Do what others an myself have done convert to 11pole stator and 7pin regulator . Its not plug and play , will need some wiring mods you will never be short of power again .

TV with all LED's and a plug and play 8 pole stator he'll have plenty of power.
