yea the plastics have to come off to get to the motor and the shoud does as well just bring it to TDC before you pull the camand mark the flywheel where it is at TDC to help get everthing in time

Sometimes I just pull the entire engine. Sometimes you get away getting the engine out without taking apart any plastics.

Before you take the cam and chain off BRING IT UP to TDC(TOP DEAD CENTER) as if your going to adjust the Valves. 1. THen Mark the Chainlink and Cam TOOTH. 2. Also Mark the FLYWHEEL where the TIMING POINTER IS POINTING TO. That way when you put the new head on you will not be off a tooth on your timing. Alleyoop

Yep no threads left on that puppy, if the rest of the head is still good, Valves and springs maybe you can get the next size spark plug and thread it to fit then you will have a spare head just in case. Alleyoop
