Al , this scooter is 3 days old . I don't think he has started it yet . The man is somewhere with warrenty in his head and having a minor problem . The noise it has is very simular to when the enging is running and you push down on the kick starter . I have asked a few times for him to try the kick starter . I suspect it is jammed or the return spring is out of place .

I narrowed the noise down to the kick starter. It does not start with the kick starter. Here is the video that support my hypotenuse.

GREAT!! Appears the gear that turns the GEAR on the CRANKSHAFT to start it is touching the Gear while in the neutral position. Alleyoop Here is what you will see when you take the cvt cover off. Check to see if it is out of alignment notice the marks on the gears they should line up.

I think this would be considered a manufacturing defect. Is it worth going after them to have them fix it?

You could try and see if they can find someone near you to take it to. If the dealer you bought if from is near you just take it into them to fix. Otherwise it will take quite a while if you bought it online for them to authorize and pay a shop near you to do the work. Alleyoop

xman , I'm not sure where you live . There are some shops that don't want the chinese scooters near there shops . I think with some positive encouragement you can fix the problem . Does the engine run and making the noise while running ? It sounded like the engine was idleing while you were moving the kick starter lever .
Valley is a good shop I have spoken to both John and Linda . If the local shop is willing to work on it I'm sure its a very small problem . I'm not 100% sure but I belive the warranty does not cover labor . If you want to play it safe call Valley and ask . I will be happy to give you some ideas or help if I can . It should be fun and simple !!!!!!

Xman , I went and looked at your videos I see in the first video you kick start lever is pointing at about 12 o'clock in the second its at 9 o'clock . I bet the return spring is out of place . That cvt cover under it it is not a jack-in-box , it will not go pop goes the weasel when opened . Try not to run it long with it broken making the noise , you wouldn't want to make other problems . Please feel free to ask any questions , everyone here was where you are at one time .

I labled that picture and added that GEAR #2 SHOULD BE BEHIND GEAR #1. What happens is when you push down on the Kickstarter GEAR #2 MOVES out and engages GEAR #1 and turns it to start the motor. So it is either of two things, GEAR #2 is in front of GEAR #1 which is wrong which it may be since the noise stops if you move the kickstarter down which would move that gear OUT. So you would have to take out GEAR #2 and position it behind GEAR #1. Alleyoop Here is A GOOD PICTURE of the GEAR #2 BEHIND GEAR #1:

I appreciate all the input given and vote of confidence guys. I started to open the CVT but could not remove the cover, it seems something is holding it back. I can t even put it back now. I found a local scooter shop, I'm going to let them handle this. I will let you know how it goes. Thank you again for the help.

I took it to a scooter shop and 200 hundred dollars later he fixed it. He recommended i not use the kick starter. he stated is was assembled wrong. At least its not making any squealing noise. I find it weird i wont be able to use the kick starter when it was designed to be used. maybe he didn't fix it.

OUCH!! $200.00 for an adjustment wow, I would not take it to them anymore. But you should have tried it right there and then to see if it actually works. Now if you try it and something breaks or does not work they will say you broke it.
Whenever you take your scoot to a shop for something always try it before you dish out the coins. Or have them show you that whatever was not working is now fixed and working. If they replaced parts tell them you want the old parts. Some of these shops are scammers and just take your money and charge you for a part they did not install. Alleyoop

They are not to be used on a regular basis they are for emergency use if your electric start goes south. But it should work, now your caught in a catch 22, for all you know they disconnected it and doesn't do anything. If they said that what was the point of fixing it and charging you 200.00 which is outrageous.
You are going to have to try and fix some of the problems yourself otherwise taking it to shops you will spend more than what you payed for the scooter.
And don't worry there are plenty of us that will help you step by step to fix something. You can put up videos and pictures and we can tell you what to check and or look for and then how to fix it. Alleyoop
