On this scooter we would have a generic diagram that would work fine but here's the problem of all the diagrams I've ever seen and we have which is many non of them have the tach wiring part on the diagrams> No it sounds silly as I have two scooters with a tach and the diagram I have which is accurate has no mention of the tachometer. My suggestion is to trace the e wires out and I'm betting one goes to a power source 12Vdc, the other to a ground and the other to the CDI. I'm fixing to take the front off of my scooter with the tach and I'll trace those wires out and see where they go, been meaning to do this anyway. JR

JR, I changed my speedometer, with one that has a tachometer. One wire to switched power the other go to the coil.

That is right on! Can you give me a link to that diagram? I'll clean it up and put it in the wiring tech section! JR

Switched power from the ignition switch then spliced the green to the green on the coil and the other wire to tje other side of the coil (don't remember the color) . Not the pulse coil .

the link does not work? I would think hooking it up to the CDI TRIGGER wire would register the RPMS. But on the Diagram it shows it it hooked up to the COIL FEED.
What rpms does it read at IDLE?
