Hi Dazzie, Welcome to the forum good to have you on here.
First thing you want to do is make sure you are getting SPARK. Take the plug out or if you have a Spare Spark plug just take the BOOT CAP off the one on the motor and stick the plug in the BOOT. THEN ground the Plug to the MOTOR NOT THE FRAME and crank it and see if the Spark Plug is FIREING.
If fireing then take the VACUUM hosee off the INTAKE MANIFOLD and pour a little gas not much into a cup and SQUEEZE the CUP into a point and pour the GAS down the VACUUM hose going directly into the INTAKE MANIFOLD(that is the BLACK PIECE CONNECTED TO THE MOROT and your CARB is connected to it. Put the Vacuum hose back on and try to start it. If your getting SPARK and you have DESCENT compression it will attempt to START or START and then die.
If it starts or attempt to start then we know it is a FUEL DELIVERY problem and we need to check the fuel delivery side. Get back on the tests, also would be good to take a picture of your carb area so I can see what kind of carb you have to tell you what to do for adjustments. Alleyoop

hi yh i am getting a spark ive tried that like i say it started and then died within 30 seconds but there is fuel definatly going into the carb and engine its attempting to start but just dont seem like it wants to its like the flywheel is just going round but not actually catching to start the bike i will try and take a picture tomorrow afternoon after i have finished work ive ordered a new choke aswell and going to see if that works but its just so confusing that it started n then now it wont start where abouts is the vacuum hose located. and i have a random pipe thats not connected to anything but the carb and just dangles down its really getting to me

Seeing it is a 50cc your carb most likely looks like this: Notice where the FUEL RATIO MIXTURE screw is: Alleyoop The hose your talking about is most likely the CARB DRAIN HOSE it is supposed to hang down by the CVT. But tell me if YOUR CARB has the FUEL RATIO SCREW or IF IT IS PLUGGED UP. On later scoots the EPA required the FUEL RATIO screw to be set lean for emissions and plugged up so it could not be changed. If it wants to start that is good, have you done anything to the scoot, Free Flow Filter or or Performance Muffler etc.. or is it stock and you have an AIR BOX. Alleyoop

Have you adjusted your valves, tight or loose valves will cause no start issues and poor running also.
