I just bought my first scooter.. Jonway YY250 '11 after my Kawi 1600 Vulcan died. I've been 2 wheel exclusive for for 3 years now. I am gonna be sitting at the front of the classroom with an apple for the teach everyday.... As I study and study on this post.... I realize I don't know, what I don't know... so I need all the help I can get.
The dealer just graduated me with a handshake and the owners manual.... I may have already failed... as I assumed he prepped it correctly. I found out i have about 60 miles with whatever liquid it is they come over with. I may take a cab to go pick up real oil and coolant before starting her again. Anyway.... Lot's to learn here... Please feel free to contact me on what classes I really need to take first.

hi there glad to have ya in class lotta smart people here being that you already have ridden it this might not be the best idea BUT here is a pdf file called PDI Pre Delivery Inspection,
this should be done before u ride, i would take a day or 2 and follow this. it helps you get acclimated to your scoot and also uncover any loose bolts, etc etc
x1scooters.com/pdi.html
make a pot of coffee, follow the PDI and learn alot about your scoot.
actually this pdi is for 150's etc yours is water colled , huh? there should be a PDI for u somewhere just use Google. sorry id look it up for you, but i still on my 1st cup so not awake yet

Yes welcome to the forum! That is the Big Guy's PDI one of the best around and it's what we use here at Scooter Professor and Terrilee it does also have information for the water cooled scoots as well. As you can already see we have some good people here always wanting to help and we're glad you're here. JR
