that bike does not had the blocking diode Dog gone it! Thought I had one there. Does anyone have a good wiring diagram? Kinroad's is hosed as the headlight wiring is cut off at the bottom of it.

Ok TV where ya at? No Alley and buggin that's not the problem, good guesses though. JR it is posted on the correct forum ? John Rich got it in his post at 829am , however he may not be 100% sure. being that the only path to the ac wire is a back feed via a shorted diode in the regulator. The man stated he hooked up the battery backwards. I k own that tends to cook the regulators. John

My My my! Funny how Jeopardy always brings out the research in others. Had the poster came here he would have been able to see the diagram to start with and the solution was so simple. Red wire charges battery, shorted R/R now feeds the yellow to the lights. But why is the Red hot? What is in a stator? Windings. Where is the end of the winding? GROUND! Now the question is has he smoked the stator? Jeopardy is so much fun. Tell Rich (even though I know he's reading this) he can now expect the DAILY DOUBLE! JR
