:'(I keep having the same problem. I moved all my green wires ground wires sanded the paint on the frame, and bolted them down. Also changed the diode, changed the rectifier, and the battery. My battery died in two days. I took it to this battery shop and they tested the system and told me that the system wasn't charging the battery. I would like to know if the stator is the last thing to change in the charging system. Thanks Ernest

If you've replaced all those items and know the connections are good and such then yes the stator is the next thing to test and here is one of the if not the best diagnotics around for the 250's the Stator Papers: thescooterprofessor.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=250e&action=display&thread=152Also you're going to need a multimeter if you don't have one and checking to see if it's charging is as easy as setting the meter on DC volts and connecting to the battery while it's idling. At idle it should read 13.0 Vdc or better and be in the 14's at 5k RPM. Checking the stator requires you setting the meter to AC volts and reading each yellow wire one yellow to another yellow making sure you check all three in a sequence like this: 1 to 2 1 to 3 2 to 3 The voltage needs to be very close to even on all 3 combinations. Yes you'll need to find the plug from the engine that plugs into the R/R and fix it where you can easily get to the 3 yellow wires and start her, do a check on all 3 wires at idle then have someone hold the throttle to rev the engine up to a nice steady higher RPM and do the same test.
Record your findings and get back with us.
