I have a 2008 Vroom that im having problems with. When I bought it last month, it only had 77 miles on it and the owners said that it has sat for a couple years. We have trouble getting it to start but once its running, it runs fine. After it sits for a couple hours, it doesnt want to start again. please help

OK do you have any of the past history as far the maintenance and PM schedule on the scooter? Do you know if they did a good PDI?

Any time any machine sits for a long period you can assure you're going to have to do some good PM and clean it all up.

If the scooter has never been wnet through (PDI) I would start by stripping it and doing just that. Also take the carb off, clean it, drain the tank, new filter, new hoses, just like the PDI says.

We have all this info in the tech section on the PDI to even vidoes on how to clean a carb and it'll all pay off with a nice smooth running and fun scooter. If it had a thorough PDI by the previous owners then I would clean the carb and fuel system and go from there.

Check the fuel lines really close. to me it sounds like you have a pin hole in a fuel line and the fuel is draining back in to your tank. Then it is having to reprime itselt to start. Also check to make sure that the line on the bottom of the bowl does not have a pin hole in it as that will drain off any fuel that is in the bowl. The Helix clone carbs do not have a shut off valve on the carb it is at the bottom of the bowl drain hose. I think your problem is probably in one of these areas.
