I own 2012 icebear 300cc supersport scooter. What is best way to change the piston cylinder seal without having to remove the whole engine from my scooter. The video is of my piston cylinder that is leaking oil. About 1 minute and 30 seconds into the video, you will see the oil leaking from piston cylinder. thanks, Hulk

have you checked your crank case vent line to see if it free flows . Hulk you shot a good video of the leak . Can you shoot another video lets see the engine number on the engine . Let us see the engine sides rear top . As if wee were there looking at it in person .

remove the valve cover and recheck the tork of the cylinder it maybe loose or under torked . CHECK YOUR CRANK CASE VENT THAT ITS NOT KINKED OR RESTRICTED .

Absolutely! The head bolts may be loose and just need to be re-torqued. Go to the Yamaha manual section and look for the head bolt/nut torque specs under the YP250 service manual and check the vent line.
I don't know the layout of this scooter but if you have enough room you can pull it apart without removing the engine and that manual will also have a complete breakdown of this engine.
Also in some cases it's actually easier and faster to pull the engine/drive assembly, need to get Rapid Jim on board, I'll email him.

Called a few scooter shops today to replace the piston cylinder gasket. First shop wants $400... Second shop wants $175...The other shops wouldn't touch it. The first shop i called was way outrages at $400. Said would take 6 hours to do. hmmm I think i will go with the second shop for $175.
