So I went to look at this scooter last night, he was wanting $150 for it.. Its a 2008 with a 1P39QMA motor in it.. I tried to kick start it, he said the only thing wrong was the electric ignition, but it wouldnt start, so I offered him $65 and got it... Got it home, checked to see if the petcock on the fuel was working, it was. Checked the plug for spark, it worked.. Seems to have good compression, but still wont kick over... Anyone have any ideas of what it could possibly be? Help would be greatly appreciated.. Thanks in advance

Good spark, compression, fuel petcock working, but it doesn't mean the carb is sending any fuel to the intake. How many miles does it have? May need the valves adjusted. Need to see if the plug is getting fuel? Pull the vacuuum hose off of the intake manifold and squirt a litte carb cleaner in the nipple or if you have a bottle small enough to use gas that will work. If it hits then you'll know you got a stopped up or bad carb. BTW where in the world did you find this good of a deal in Arkansas? JR

A guy in conway that was moving, and it was his ex wifes, before they divorced.. He didn't know how to fix it, and just wanted it gone, but I will try some starter fluid when I get home, it only has 600 miles on it. So barely broke in..

I'll also check the valves... Is the 1P39qma the same valve lash as the 139qmb??
