Carb issues

Ok I have a question for the 250 experts. I have a 54-B that I just got back together and running after purchasing it in pieces. It came with a Dragon exhaust and intake setup in the box that I installed. Now my carb needs some reworking and I'm finding very little info and parts available for it. The carb on mine bolts (not clamps) to a alum intake pipe. most all carbs I've looked at have the boot type on the engine side. I've sort of narrowed down the bog issue I have at 1/8-1/4 throttle to pilot jet (that's what I read). Idles good, WOT is good, not great but good. but 1/8 to 1/4 it just spits and sputters. Now my question... next to the main jet is 2 small jets, which one is the pilot and should they be the same or different? Other question is where can I get parts, jets, another carb for this thing?? Any help would be great as I'm having trouble finding stuff for the 250. Thanks Attachments:

If the Carb bolts on you have an old style carb. The screw is either on the TOP near where it bolts on or underneath which is a pita to get at cause you do not have room between it and whre it bolts up to the intake. Have you adjusted you Fuel Ratio Mixture which is fed by the Pilot Jet for idle and up to about 20mph? Sounds like it is a little rich so Lean Fuel Ratio Mixture on it. Alleyoop Here is the Jets labled the other hole is for the Enricher to suck up fuel.

My carb is the "old" bolt on stlye. Below is a picture inside the bowl showing 2 jets next to the main jet. My mixture screw is on the top and I have tried to adjust this bog out with no luck. I would think that changing the exhaust and removing the air box I should be riching it, but I'm open for sugestions. How about parts for this carb??? Anybody ever change the intake to a newer type to use a different carb?

My engine is the Horizontal type. I would love to change it over to the boot type carb and wondered if anyone knew of an intake manifold that would work. Still want to know what the 2 jets are in this carb. My engine looks like this

I just bought a carb from these guys. Works great although I think all the carbs are the same even if they are listed for different, specific models.
The one I bought fits and looks perfect but the scooter feels just a little sluggish compared to the old carb. I'm going to check the jets and swap out the old jets to the new carb if there is a difference, that is if they fit. Just something to think about.
Otherwise a fantastic buy at that price and I have to say these kinds of deals do not stay around although the seller on ebay seems to have a lot of stock to sell.
