Hi all following along the guid lines of alleyoop and jr heres whats done and where its at now- 115mm variator ,15/38 rear gears 12g rollers carb totally readjusted, new tac, opened muffler,using higer test gas readjusted clutch spring. waiting on new carb jet ,13g sliders new metal carb intake manf,and having clutch pully replaced with a 3/4 smaller one at the machine shop, when all is done will at that point will free flow the carb and done. at this point as she sits my scoot has moved up to 55 mph from 48 mph at 7600 rpm and mind you thats with me riding it and i weigh 230 lbs, acording to greg my engneer frieng when i get the rest done the milane should be capable of 58 to 60 mph also im still not using al the distance on the variator nor is it at wot yet will continue the up dates as new parts come in and are installed its really going great so far. travler 1

FANTASTIC!! See told you, it would get you to 55mph Which is what you wanted without going into the motor. GOOD JOB EAGLE, and you should get a couple more mph with the other upgrades. Alleyoop

:)thanks alley your the one who made the differance in this indevor, and thanks to jr for the elect info you guys know your stuff ya i was going to be happy with 55 now looks like ill get a little more travler 1

i didnt mean to be rude to sprocket and justbuggin as i want to thank them also for their imput thanks guys will ride safe, yup thats me at 65 yrs mospeed more to come as i move forward with this travler 1

let us know what you end up with running i am about to dive into the cvt myself all of my cvt is stock and i am getting 60 to65 chino mphs i would like to get a little more

i do sometimes think, about doing upgrades, but im fine with 55-65mph--if needed but ill cruise at 45-50

Sprocket always seems to insist that these engines do not need High test fuel. In fact, I think he would say it costs a littke power. I know I discovered the knocking I was getting a WOT was not the result of not useing high test. Ii isgone now and I am runing regular with whatever ethanal comes out the pump. So I would encourage you to try a tank. Might even gain a 1/2 mph.
