Update: I had put on the new pump but never get much chance to ride the Znen last year. I was having trouble getting it to run, even with spray start, so I finally pulled the seat bucket, and there was the vac line for the pump, NOT on the manifold port. clipped the end and added a clamp, and removed all the other crazy vacuum lines and check valves and breathers and what- not. Now it fires and runs - Have to adjust the idle. The original weights were 17gram rollers, have 9.8 gram sliders in there now. Still grabby at stop lights. added a tach - a lawnmower /implement type that also keeps track of running time. No more bogging. but top speed is 49 per GPS (60 on the speedo), and I've seen 8900RPM. I don't believe I've been into this carb yet, so upjetting is next. For sure a new exhaust and open airfilter need to be in the near future. It is plenty quiet, but the exit of the muffler is like a dime size. The pipe is a [sarcasm]sweet quality[/sarcasm] necked down from the head to maybe .75" OD, welded into a larger less than 1"OD pipe.
I thought there was a fuel requirement badge near the filler or in the glove box, or under the seat, but I found none. I filled the Znen with 93octane to be in the safer side. I have not started to track fuel economy on this scooter yet.
