Has any one pulled a majesty engine? I have a full manual with instructions and am just looking to see if any one here has ever been involved with one. Looking to avoid any pitfalls and maybe find a few tips. john

I haven't myself John but I did watch someone at a shop pull the 250 vesrion and his only mistake was the wires. He missed some and had to stop until he had everything loose.
Myself even with a manual if I was unsure about anything I would have the old pad and pencil and camera out as I went.

I may also get some blow ups of the manual printed out, at least the ones where it shows the exploded views. john

Have not pulled one but did do an extensive PDI recently on my 06 as preventative maintenance. During it I removed all of the plastic aft of front end (some of it I removed also to get at the cooling system)
Why do you need to pull the engine? I decided when I had it undressed I could probably do a full top end including piston and cylinder OH without removing the engine/
My $70 Harbor Freight motorcycle jack did a nice job of helping hold the scoot to work on it. but I am going to splurge most of $200 for their high lift jack so I have it to stand up ( or sitting on a stool) height when I need to work on it. (I need it anyway to lift my tool boxes 25" to get them in an elevator when and if I need to prepare for hurricane or flooding.)

After pulling all the plastic off from the rear of front end (maybe 3 hours) I found I could get the cyl off. If you remove bolts on rear shocks you can use a jack to raise the rear wheel to lower the cyl giving more access to the crap mounted on top of the engine. I think I would rather a "do it your self appendectomy" than to work on a majesty. When they run they are wonderful, but if they need repair a majesty is next to impossible to work on. And they made them that way because they could. And the real kicker is yamaha usa does not carry all the parts in stock. The over sized rings are back ordered from japan.
