Hi Hulk24, Sorry to say but IB does not have service manuals for their products. Jim from RapidRepair is an authorized dealer for IB and he also said the same thing NADA. Alleyoop

You got the right category Hulk this was just a general question. If you're trying to get help on a scooter then in your case you would post in the Chinese 200cc and up section.
Icebear needs to step up on the manuals especially since they are getting so popular. We have lots of manuals that may help some and do have a manual for this engine. Of course we're here to help in any way we can too.

Well the 300s are just punched out 250s that is all they are, they are really not 300ccs they are most likely 277cc or something around that number. So take a look at your motor and see which of these motors you have. That at least will help you with the motor side as far as the electricals are concerned the 250s and yours are pretty much sameo sameo. Yours most likely has the LINHAI. Juding from the fact its a 279cc water cooled 4 stroke its likely the linhaiesque engine. Chinese scoots / trikes are awesome, but they are a very different experience from a modern Japanese scooter / bike. The plus is that they are easy to work on, there aren't complicated electronic systems, pages of efi codes etc. There tends not to be 1 service manual (that normally costs about 80 bucks) but rather a collection of free material and lots of great help here on forums. Spare parts are also crazy cheap, i.e. radiators 250 54b $168 Burgman 400 $515. .roketapartsdept.com/products/ROKETA_MC_54B_250_RADIATOR-18322-612.html" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">.roketapartsdept.com/products/ROKETA_MC_54B_250_RADIATOR-18322-612.html.suzukipartshouse.com/?gclid=CKu9osW2nK4CFQF6hwodb1GvLg#/Suzuki/AN400K9_(2009)/RADIATOR/06170011/5606170018" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">.suzukipartshouse.com/?gclid=CKu9osW2nK4CFQF6hwodb1GvLg#/Suzuki/AN400K9_(2009)/RADIATOR/06170011/5606170018it's even worse for exhausts! I would start by getting the manual for your engine, or the closest you can get and take not of the increases displacement. The standard 250 is about square at 68.6x66.8mm and the 279 is 73x66.8. Basically this means the bore, or width of the cylinder has increased so when working on it, or more importantly ordering parts you need to ensure they are compatible with the wider bore (this would affect the head, cylinder , seals etc). The electrical system is pretty easy to work out, wiring maps are available for more generic scoots, this and a multimeter should be all you need. Along with a digital camera to upload shots here. If you got the trike then the gearing and axle at the rear will be different, it shouldn't be too difficult to figure out, again your dealer, here or rapidjim should be able to provide assistance. If you got the scoot then it should be the standard rear for that engine. Enjoy the new scoot, prep it properly and keep it well loved and you should have a hell of a lot of fun!

thanks Alleyoop. that scooter does look like Icebear. I will start doing my internet search and find manual for that LINHAI scooter. If you and Mauiboy keep saying my icebear 300cc isnt really a 300cc scooter. Iam going to let the air of your tires. hehe.
MAUIBOY, as for your reply, i dont have a clue what you talking about. Looks like you showing me sites of scooter parts. I wasnt looking for scooter parts. LOL

HAHAHA!! They all round up the displacements on these things Maybe Jim from RapidRepair can get the real displacement for the scoot. But that is a very nice motor and a very strong runner. Ride Safe Alleyoop

Hulk, I know you weren't Sorry, I was just explaining about the engine in your scoot. The links were just to show how much cheaper parts are.

Hulk that is one fine looking scooter and I mean it. I like the look the dash and everything about it.
Now it's possible but again not sure that Icebear might have worked out a deal for a bigger displacement but just like getting a manual for it who knows?
Now the linhai for the 250B is rated at 257cc and with a 70mm piston it is just that. But this engine has been known to have a 68mm and 69mm piston bore too and at 68mm it is at 244cc.
Now the sister scooter to it is the 300 linhai which is identical except of course the bore and most come with a 72mm piston which makes it spec out to about 275cc. All this is funny you have the 260 Vog with a linhai but it's rounded up from the same 257cc engine and they call the linhai in the 250B a 250 engine which is down for the 257ss?
From what few things I can find on the specs of this engine in your scooter it's at 72mm or 275cc.
You can even buy a BBK for this engine that has a 75mm piston which specs out at about 290cc.
But this takes nothing away from your scotter because 25cc isn't very much to worry about and again this is one nice looking scooter.
IMO Icebear needs to step up and get some manuals and helpful info out for people or they won't last long.

Thanks JR, but when it comes to bore size and pistons, that doesnt mean anything to me. That stuff to me is like alien language. hehe But I even tried looking up manuals for the Linhai what you and Alleyoops talked about. Got nothing but dead ends while searching.

No worries, we all started at the begining. Bore and stroke are measurements related to the cylinder, its important to understand them a little here because of how similar yet different many of these chinese engines are. It also goes a little way to help you understand the performance of the engine, but mostly it helps with parts. You'll have seen bike, car, boat engines referred to by their size, 150cc, 750cc, 2litre etc (I know americans use cubic inches as well, my apologies, I've never gotten used to using them) in decimal. That measurement is basically the amount of space made by the piston (or pistons) when the piston has moved the furthest it can away from the spark plug. This space, where the fuel & air have been sparked and combusted is governed by the width (bore) of the piston and its stroke, which is the distance the piston can move up and down. Terms such as boring out an enngine or big bore kit refer to making the hole and the piston wider to increase the space and the power of the engine. Increasing the stroke also increases the power (typically it increases torque, shorter strokes also tend to suit higher rpm's, so f1 cars that rev to 18000rpm have a very short stroke, piss all torque and are easy to stall but have relatively wide pistons so produce 850bhp) but in a different way. Chinese engines tend to come from a few basic designs (gy6 50cc, gy6 125cc, 244cc air cooled hondaesque engine and a 257cc yamaha engine). These are then fiddled with to produce variants or just labelled differently. The 125 is bored out to 150cc, the 257 is bored to 275. Most of these are then handed to the marketing dept who sprinkle liberal amounts of BS on it and round up/down the numbers so the same 257cc is sold as a 250, 260 etc. Much of the chatter here has just been using the bore and stroke to narrow down which engine you have to help find the nearest matching manual for you : It's just not as simple as it is with cars, the year, model etc doesn't always help as much as a picture of the engine and the bore & stroke. Once you get past the jargon, its just the width and depth of a space :
