I’m 77, this is my latest project. Riding 65+ years on 60 some bikes including lots of projects. Scoot is ‘07 w only 2K but obvious rough life. Little physical damage but badly weathered paint. No biggie as it runs nice after usual clean/tune. Worst problem was missing axle nut causing chewed splines. I jury rigged it with loctite 660 and red on nut. Very little runout. I got it to run with a fresh auto choke. As I don’t like those added manual one. Ok, now what do I hook to the temperature sensor? I take it the heater coil of the auto choke shares its ground with the sensor. If that’s true perhaps using the wires from the original bad auto choke will work. Just tried this post as it seems the scooter forums are nowhere near as active as the snowblower forum that is great fun to work with.

Sold my Elite & Grey Market Yamaha. Got an 07 Kymco People 250S. I took it for a long test ride in high winds and was amazed at the stability. I knew the big wheels would be good but even @ 70 on the interstate semi-wakes weren't bad. As a life long mototrcyclist I must say the People has a cycle heart-speed,handling,& great brakes.GJ Attachments:

The replies on other sites seem to nix this idea. After further thought I guess it isn't the best move. I'm getting a bit of winter 'Brain Fade'-haven't even gotten out to xcountry once due to lack of snow. They're talking 50s next week so maybe riding season will come early. I'll be looking at suspension & brake mods next. No archaic CB shocks though-they were junk when new. My 150 works great just love to tinker.GJ

I have ideas about perhaps finding a dead('blowed up')Chinese Beasty to drop my ch150 mill in. The hoped for result would be better suspension, brakes, and(maybe)less weight. I known someone out there must have done something like this-in the late 50s I saw a 'CYCLE MAGAZINE' article about a midget w a Triumph powered Mustang Scooter. GJ-Mn
