I appreciate the input JR. You're correct in that it does have both an on/off switch and a dimmer switch. I was referring to geting power all the way down the line to the point where the actual headlight assy harness plugs into the line running from the switches. It is a four-prong pin connector. Just nothing happens when I plug in the light assy and I've tried two separate ones. Also, I'm not sure how that plays into my dash lights and horn being out as well. I'll open it up again today and get into it with the voltmeter. Is it ok to stick the prong directly into a wire?

Hi everyone and thanks for welcoming me to the group. I have a 2003 Vento Phantom R4i which I acquired non-running. I replaced the ignition coil, cdi, stator and carb. It runs fine and initially the lights all lights were functioning properly. I have illumination on my dash as well. On a short trip one afternoon, my headlights, running lights and dash illumination went out. There are two fuses coming off the battery which are intact. I do not have a fuse on my starter relay that I can see. There is also a 35w ballast resistor I found behind the front cover between my turn signals and headlights. Since this issue began, I have replaced the regulator. With the bike running, I am getting power to the plug that supplies the headlight assy with juice. Both from that point on, nothing. Any suggestions on this? Is there another fuse somewhere on this bike? I'll state upfront I'm not that great with a multimeter but any insight on this issue would be GREATLY appreciated. I haven't been able to do any night riding in a couple weeks and this is my only mode of transportation currently. Thanks in advance everyone!
