Well, the cast came off of my right hand and arm yesterday. stitches are out. lots of ugly incision scars. hand very swollen, discolored. pain. movement- next to nothing. can't even hold a glass. start physical therapy next monday. doctor says i will get most, if not all, of my use of hand back. so that is good news. he also said mt hand would get pretty again over time (looking at my hand now, that is hard to believe).


I go out to the garage every day and start my bike up and let it run for 5 minutes or so. Doctor says I am probably finished riding for the season, but maybe not!

Great Mcalli! Good news indeed! Now I can give you some good advice on the physical therapy, TAKE IT SERIOUS!

The key to getting that hand well and riding again is the therapy and it's miserable and painful but every single time you do it, you will get more of that hand back!

Try your best to take over the counter pain medicine because the hard stuff is so hard to get away from, I know all this because I hadback to back knee replacements in 08 and the therapy gave me my legs back.

Now I also told my therapist that when they pushed me to the limit I would holler out and man I did! I came out from my session one day and there was a little 75 year old lady in the waiting room white as a sheet!


She had to be convinced it wasn't a torture chamber before she would even go in after looking at me!! LOL LOL

thanks jr. i know it will be painful. I would be crying from pain now, if i were a weaker woman. pain is unbelievable. only thing keeping me going is knowing that it will go away in time, gradually.

keep up the good work put a thumb throttle on your scooter off a 4wheeler so you can go to therapy on it good luck
