I have a 1983 honda aero 50 that has no battery but i get it running by kick start, but when i try to put headlight on it doesnt turn on but the turn signs work barely an brake light works an horn aswell, silly but could it be because it doesnt have enough ppower to work all electrical without a battery and also hooking it up to jumper box electric start doesnt work! Please any info will be good! thanks new to forum.

Yea probably the battery runs your headlights and the stator runs some of the other lights. That is usually normal even for bigger scoots the headlights take a lot more juice so they usually run off the battery and the Stator and Regulator/Rectifier charge the battery. The stator on those smaller scoots barely can keep up with the electrical demand So get a battery and you should be find. After you put the battery in get a Volt Meter and make sure the R/R is charging the battery otherwise the battery will go dead.
