Today 5/16, I stopped at the local yamaha dealer that I bought mine from. Since I have it all in pieces I figured I would stick in the set of rear brake pads That I had ordered with the piston and rings. Same deal...dealer does not carry the rear brake caliper seals, 2 square section o-rings that on the internet retail for $3.69 but he put a set on order for $16 and some change.
Yamaha USA does not stock a over sized piston or rings, I finally got them straight from japan. Took a month on that count. It is a real shame that no one carry's parts for a majesty in stock and you have to order every thing you need on them.
Before he found out I was so pissed, he was telling me about a new majesty that came back after 2900 miles with bad rings and the owner lived on a gravel road. I did have him check to see if the recall on 07's was completed and it was, turns out that I am at least the 3rd owner of that majesty as the original owners name is different than what was on the title I got with the bike.
I will post the entire chronology of the repairs that were started the first week of april this year once I am able to ride it again. (if I don't die of old age before that happens) john
