I bought this scooter from a man that said the only thing wrong was a broken belt. No big deal I can change a belt. When I took the scooter apart I found the belt was broken. I order a new one using the old belt for size and #. I checked it when it came in and it was the right belt as far as the #. I put it on and it is to small. So it is all the way in on the back pully so there is no way to stop it without killing the scooter. The belt I bought was a Gates 842-20-30. They sent a pl30708 which looks to be the same size. Anyone know what belt I should have? Sorry for the long post. Arthur

842-20-30 will work and a 835-20-30. The 842 will give a tad of more top end while the 835 a quciker take off. There is another one that will work but it's special order most of the time a 846-20-30. That's it on the Bali 150 and the one you were sent? Never heard of it? JR

Arthur your post is short compared to others lol. but yea just like JR said the Gates 842 or 835 will work for your scooter and will fit perfect. Just follow JR's advice on which one to get. Both are available on my site under transmission section. good luck!

Yes it does have a pull start, but I took it off and left it open for more air to come in and cool the cvt. But you can see it here when it was on. Alleyoop

Thanks for all the info. My front pully is closed and the back pully is all the way out. How do I get the front pully to open? I don't want to break anything. By the way great shot of the belt setup. Thanks Arthur

Arthur, The FRONT pulley(VARIATOR) as you can see is ALREADY OPEN the belt is DOWN. The Front Pulley CLOSES to push the belt up the Faces as you gain Speed and PULLS the REAR PULLEY OPEN so the BELT DROPS DOWN. AT FULL speed the Picture I put up WILL BE THE OPPOSITE, the BELT WILL BE HIGH on the Front Pulley and DOWN in the REAR PULLEY. Here is how a CVT WORKS this will help you understand how a CVT works. Thanks. I understand how ot works but the (VARIATOR) is stuck in the closed position. I think I'll have to take it apart and clean it. The old belt was broken and had come apart and left dirt and debris all over the inside. thanks for the video. Arthur
