I went to my local convenience store to pick up a pack of smokes Pepsi and gas. Anyway, I go to this store on a daily basis and as I drove away I spied a scoot sitting in the back. This was a real beater not much more than a parts bike IMO. but, I went inside and asked about it. The owner of the store tried to have it towed "as it broke down" but even the tow company would not take it...... I left my name and number so if nobody came back it would be mine!!!!!!!! Muahahahah!!!!!! 2 days later I went back to get my Pepsi and smokes and the Owner said it was still there and they wanted it gone. Lucky Me!!!! I went home and got a spare battery, carb and fuel line........ Well after about 20mins It started with the Electric start. YeY!!!!!! FREE SCOOT!!!!!! Now here is the twist.... After tinkering for a day or so I got her running damn good then I got a call.... The original owner came back to collect it from the gas station and they said I fixed and drove away with it.. I was thinking this guy was gonna call the police for a solen scoot but, He was curious as to how I got it started......... Long story short I told him I replaced the Battery, Carb, Fuel/vacuum lines and put a newish CDI on, Valve adjustment and New plug. Ran like a champ!!!!! Anyway, I ended up giving him my addy so he could pick up his only transportation besides a BMX bike. I told him I was planning to sell it for parts, (Heres The Good Part) He offered $200 to get it back!!!!!!!!!!! I ended up just giving it back with NO cash exchange. Poor guy has a new baby coming and I just happened to have the spare parts. In the end, I had a fun little challenge and helped out a fellow scoot rider. His Pregnant wife was damn cute though...... I managed to help out a young couple and felt good about doing something good. Just thought I would share what I have been doing with my time offline. Side note - After helping someone out a bit, I found out I am NOT allowed to store a car in my own driveway. WTF?? Go figure. Thats another topic though I gave this site and SD as references in case they need more help in the future (not sure they have a computer though)............Golden Rule, Do unto others Etc..... I just found that helping out someone in desperate times is better than most anything IMO. Thanks for looking at my ramblings... and "Pay It Forward" if you can. A little help/advice can go a long way.............

JIM, I must apologize, I did not see you already said the OP was deleated. I gotta stop skimming threads....Calm down Brother!!!! You are 2nd to none and the best example of what a scooter dealer should be IMO!!!!!! I know why it was deleted but, maybe, like I said before It means a lot. It's To bad all the Politics force users to choose sides and then just be deleted. Thats a shame IMO OK with that said.... How can I get a Scooter Professor Avitar?

That's Really Cool !!!! Arm hair is optional Duplicolor has a similar product but, I don't think it drys that quick. Spray, wipe, no need to repeat. WOW!!! Very nice find JR... I wonder how it holds up to the elements though?? Seems like a thin coat IMO but still very neat stuff!!!!

Never thought of Methane (that was absolute genius Alley) LMAO Thank you!!!!! So to recap It's Pure Oxygen, Nitrogen Or Methane. I do have my own personal compressed methane source butt, from my experience the pressure does fluctuate daily and 32 PSI is more than I can handle. Anyone got a match? Thanks again Righty that was great!!!!!!! It does seem the whole Nitrogen thing is a decent idea though. MPG and Gas Is a concern for my V8 cage. Seems newer Chevy's, Fords etc.... do come standard with this stuff. I'm Still trying to figure out how a computer is sensing air pressure in a spinning tire but that's another topic. I like my valve caps that turn red when low. Stay safe butt, keep your tires in check!!

Thanks for the info guys!!!!! I'm not sure what the fees are but, I'll give it a try on all my wheels next time they need servicing.... I know a lot of tire repair kits have those quick fill c02 cartridges much like a Airsoft gun. So, that's where that idea came from and Helium was just a WAG (Wild A$$ Guess) I also thought about pure Oxygen but, that may get a bit explosive on a hot day...... I think Silverfox is the big winner here. Like Jr said, spot on with all three. Oh, and now were even in the laughs department JR. I was joking BTW glad ya gotta kick out of that one. I would never taint this forum with acid tires but you have given me another idea

So I went ahead and paid someone to change the oil in my cage. Just being lazy and the free car wash was a nice touch. Anyway, I took it to "Fabulous Freddie's" A SHELL affiliate station and while I was waiting, reading the various signs and such they advertise using Nitrogen instead of compressed air to fill tires. (for a small fee of coarse) My brain immediately went into "well what if" mode...... What if..... Nitrogen is used on my scoot tires??? What about Helium??? what makes Nitrogen better than plain old compressed air? ? I got to thinking, I've seen many a post about proper air pressure but, Nothing on the type of air used...... So, I am still researching the whole Nitrogen thing but, was curious if anyone here has used anything other than regular compressed air to fill there tires. Is this just another way to waste my cash or is there a real benefit to using Nitrogen/Helium/ CO2 etc... in scoot tires? I DO NOT want this to become some sort of "Boric Acid" revolutionary fix all.... Just curious if anyone has used something besides compressed air on a daily driver? Oh yeah, Merry new year all-- Don't scoot in yellow snow

I must say this is NOT a problem with modern trikes. I was joking!!!! The Robin was just a poorly engineered car. I mean come on. Most real trikes are 100% safe. What would you expect putting a front engine on 1 wheel?? Funny, Yes but, I would ride an Icebear with confidence before buying this POS!!!
