The NEW wiring to the new engine is on the left. Green, yellow, white on the green connector, red female (IIRC), blue/white male bullet wires. The OLD wiring to the old engine/stator is on the right. THREE Orange wires on the connector, green male bullet, blue/white female bullet wires. Also included in the pic are two different GY6 wiring diagrams. Notice that none of the colors match. Should I crack open the stator cover and see where they go? Ridiculous.

Duh...never mind. It's also on the frame behind this small panel in between your feet.

Okay, I just am NOW getting around to transferring the title (yes I have the title) on this Il Bello clone and what do you know, there's a problem with the VIN and I need an inspection from the State Patrol.
So...besides the tag that's on the front panel (above where your knee usually is when riding) w/the VIN. Is there anywhere else it's located?
Is it engraved on the frame somewhere?

Well...I just plugged it up. I gotta get in there again to see where all the hoses go, but seems to run fine though.

Got this sucker running awesome! Basically got this heap from this guy who couldn't get it started. - adjusted valves - new carb - new starter switch All is great! Only issue now is that main headlight won't come on (only the small little "city" light) and the high beam indicator comes on, so I'm thinking it's the left switch assembly is bad (this poor thing sat outside in the rain, etc for 2 years). However, I got a question. There's this vacuum diaphragm doo hicky thing and from that a hose that goes no where. I plugged it up because it was sucking vacuum while engine was running. Any idea what it is and where that vacuum line should go?

Thanks a ton JR! That explains a lot!
Now to get the carb/fuel pump issue resolved here, I can hope to get it running and be sure the lights come one!

Also, again, there's these 3 wires (two green grounds, and one yellow) not connecting to anything. Should there be something here? That yellow goes to the rectifier, stator, choke circuit, but will also power on the lights as aforementioned.

Yep, changing the starter switch worked and now it cranks and creates spark! However, I'm having fuel issues (totally plugged up/gummed up vacuum pump), so I can't quite get it running.

My wife has a Flyscooters Il bello and the small tiny light in the headlight and tailight (and gauges lights) come on when you turn on the key. Then of course, the main headlight (hi and lo beams) come on when it's running.
This non-running clone I bought, I turn on the switch and no lights come on. Is that normal?
The Il Bello I notice, has a rectifier with a bunch of wires (like six+, including 3 yellow wires)
The clone, has a rectifier with only four wires. If I jump the yellow wire on it, then the little headlight and taillight and gauges come on.
So school me...do SOME scooters have the lights come on when you turn it on and do others only come on when it's running (can't get the clone currently running due to fuel issues)?

Bad rectifier? Pretty sure it's easy to test; just need to get at it (under front cover???). With bike running, see if the WHITE wire ( ) gives off voltage. Bad magneto?

Thanks a bunch! This will help a lot! I'm thinking either the rectifier (since it's so badly corroded) or the starter switch, which the HL seems to go through according to the diagram.

No, I bought this in Seattle awhile ago. Just now getting to it.
ya, checked all the fuses.
I also noticed the rectifier/regulator wiring and spades/terminals were all corroded.
Does any of the wiring to this rectifier go to the headlight which is why the HL won't come on?

Hi there. Bought this non-running 150cc beater. Has electrical issues What works: - Horn
- Rear brake light
- Fuel gauge
- Turn signals
What doesn't: - Headlight/tailight
- Starter button (biggest issue)
- Gauge lights
I opened up the front and noticed some connections not being used. I tested the ignition switch wiring: Red: always on Black: turns on with key Green: ground Brown: does nothing Any idea? Is there a wiring diagram available for this? Thanks. I circled connectors that aren't connected to anything. Thanks!
