I used both brands it took me 3 weeks and a lot of sanding a little body filler this original color red/silver From my notes Use a good white primer i used 3 coats Total paint used was 12 cans purchase at true vale i did not paint the wheels I used the flex steel rubber sealer in the fender wells Biggest issue i had was the dust all over the garage still finding a year later. For your info spray paint has no hardener on less it is app lance paint which it great on metal work i learned the hard way when i spilled a little on the quarter Take photos before you start the job so you know where the extra clips go Trust your gut on the colors you want to use Take advantage of the time to do your major maittince One thing help let it bake in the sun and do not paint in heavy humanity Check for parts painted there are a lot of them out there i pick up another scooter cheep it had only 300 miles on it and used the front in tires, clips etc...etc.. One last thing do a honest appraisal on your scooter Motor condition, brakes, etc... plus how long you plan to keep it it is easy to run the cost up and deal with a local hardware store or paint shop and the same salesperson when i got a bad can thy may it right. try that at wally word it wont happen. And please forgive my spelling errors my spelling sucks Best of luck and please post photos when your are done. Attachments:

I had the same type issue I had gages but would not start. I end up bypassing the starter relay and put in a push button switch I put a 30 amp fuse in the line. Make sure you use hd cables . I did try to trace the wires with no faults found and tried a new relay it will not start unless the key is in the switch I found the starter button switch at tractor supply for $5.00
