Well i have bad news. I bought a coil and put it on and still no fire. So now ive replaced the coil, pickup coil, cdi. Im stumped?

When i ordered the cdi i was told it was a dc cdi. Are all the coils the same for ac and dc scooters? I was goin to order one but not sure which one to get. Thanks

Hello again everyone. Well ive replaced the pickup coil and cdi. I have the green/white and black/white wires removed from the cdi and still no spark. I checked the coil by hooking up my meter to the coil wires. Neg. To black and pos. To green. It has .33 volts and when i turn it over it has 2.5 volts does that seems right. I dont believe it was doing that before. Does it need a coil? If so are the coils all the same? Thanks again guys

I removed the green/white wire still no fire. Even after i removed it i still had to fold the kickstand up to turn it over. Is that right? The pulse coil only had .058vac so i beilve its no good. I put the positive test lead to the blue/yellow wire and grounded the other lead to the engine.is that the right way to test the pulse coil?

I think im getin somewhere lol. Alleyoop i checked the wire and it does have 12 volts. Justbuggin i removed the black/white wire and still no spark. Im going to send this ac cdi back and get a dc cdi. Ill let yall know what happens.  |

JR im not sure on the wire color on the cdi i will have to look tomorrow. On the 2 wire plug its a black/white and black wires. The others are blue, green/white and not sure of the other.

Alleyoop the cdi i bought is a #20. I was told it was a ac cdi. I think the price was 9.99. The number #14 i believe is a dc cdi. And as far as the two wire plug on the cdi there is no black and red.

Im not at my shop anymore but from what i gather from the diagrams is that i think it is a dc cdi because it only has two wires coming from the engine. I believe they are blue and green
