Pull the vac hose from the manafold and crank with you finger over the port hole , you should get good siction . If not the manafold maybe cracked , tighten down on the manafold bolts don't kill it it could be loose . The gasket under could be shot . Also check vac "t" that splits to the carb and pet cock .

The manafold are known for cracking . Go over the vac connections as Alley suggested if in doubt replace the lines and plastic connections .

Do you have compression ? Squrt some gas in the carb while cranking , see if it starts or stumbles .

Welcome to this fourm!!!!!!!!!!
Have you taken the voltage readings not connected to the stator as I asked you ? The readings are very important , it will tell us if your stator is good or not .

Well I believe I am finished with the conversion and everything is looking great! Wiring the white wire up to the autochoke + headlight relay worked just fine. I learned a couple things about the white wire voltage after I did some testing: 1) The voltage on the white wire is inversely proportional to the RPM. ie A higher RPM produces a lower voltage, A lower RPM produces a higher voltage. 2) White wire voltage increases as the electrical load on the system (not the load on the white wire) increases. For example, the white wire voltage with the headlights on will be higher than when the headlights are off. So, my initial concern was when I has no load on the system (before I had everything wired up). I was seeing 5-8 volts which made me nervous. But, after getting everything wired up I was seeing voltages closer to 10 and up to 12 depending on the loading. Regardless, the autochoke is working fine and the white wire has no problem tripping my headlight relay. This is a post I like to see , this is gratifaction for effort !!!!!!!!!!! John

Saber when checking the stator it should be unplugged from the regulator , the ac readings should be taken from the yellow and white unplugged from the regulator . The problem with that set up is you need the correct regulator and that is where the problem is . I ripped my hair out because of it , some regulators were defective out of the box . Some were just a mismatch . With not tech info its a shot in the dark . I had one regulator charge perfect voltage with dim headlights then one would give me good headlights and overcharge like 16vdc . It was suggested to me to use a ballast resistor witch I should have used and did not . I changed from 6pole 4pin to 11pole stator 7pin regulator My scooter has double headlights I wanted more power . I have the regulators that overcharge with good headlights (use ballast resistor and all will be good)

If I remember justbuggin pulled a working stator and regulator from his scooter . And upgradeed to 11pole stator and 7 pin regulator that he got from me . You going to need to open the flywheel and see if your stator is 6 or 8 pole .

the mod is having problems in judgement , seems like he takes things personal . Seems he is quick on the draw for banning people he has personal problems with .
