Hello there, i popped on here hoping to find a scooter for sale and while I'm at it I may as well post 'The Moped'.
First off I live in Maine, to give people a general idea of where I am, Second, I'm not sure of the Scooters model.
I bought out of a hoarder basement (it was buried under debris when i was looking at the house) All i know is it has High, Neutral, and low gears, with a two speed automatic tranny. I think it may be Yamaha Chappy LB50-2(or 3)AD.
I ended up having to take it apart, the electrical was done, rodent food. The headlight was busted out, and the previous owner appears to have stripped the threading for the spark plug in the carb-head, so the spark plugs wont screw in.
The tranny works great, with a little jury-rigging, and the engine was immaculate when I opened it up. The frame is still solid, and the chain and drive systems all move smoothly. It just needs someone with the time and resources to put it together, as far as I can tell the only major problems are the stripped threading for the plugs and the electrical.
I bought it on a whim, because the guy who was helping to clean the house out started it with a pair of jumper cables, I had no idea the only thing keeping the spark plug in was the rust on his stainless steel body.
