I bought a 2015 sinnis shuttle 125 November last year. It uses a Gy6 with DC cdi etc. It was pre-owned. It had a problem with the battery dying very quickly but health check showed battery as fine. I decided I wanted to check everything top to bottom and discovered the previous owner did a 150cc upgrade and damaged the cylinder. I swapped the entire engine to be safe but the headlights started having intermittent fault of turning off when turning left. After a while they stopped completely. I replaced bulbs to be sure and no change. Changed drl relay and no change. I replaced the wiring loom as I discovered many areas were butchered by previous owner. Still no change. Every test with multimeter indicated the regulator wasn't working properly and was replaced with oem. I then discovered the new engine had a smaller AC stator so I replaced with a brand new DC stator with 11poles which is oem to the scooter. Still the headlights didn't work. The only parts not replaced are the hi/low switch and the switch loom to connect main loom to switched. I've com tested these wires and all are fine. Switch was taken apart and cleaned and is all good as far as I can tell. I'm running out of things to try. Any thoughts? Also any way the new DRL relay for headlights could have been damaged by the wrong stator being on the scooter for a few weeks? Any help of advice much appreciated.
