I have a scooter that I traded for from a friend. It is a 50cc he said it was called a Sky Breeze 50. The maintenance book says Qjiang QJ50T-21B on it. when I looked at where the key was supposed to be there was no key or plug just loose wires. the wire colors are Red, Red/white, Black, Green, Brown/white. I am wondering if there is a way I can get the wires hooked up to a switch or switches so that I can start and ride my new scooter

Parts for scooters would have a key switch I would imagine,,, or good oldie ebay

I was hoping to be able to do this without spending a whole lot of money or shipping time since I am moving soon to a new city. from what I have found from my own research the solid red wire is power and the solid green is ground. Other than that I have no other experience with scooters as this is my first one.

Check our library,,there's quite a few wiring diagrams for various scooters you should be able to determine what colors go where,,,as a side note it would be helpful if you stated what scooter you have engine size,,ect,,,

I did some more playing around and the Solid black wire whenever it is touched by the solid red wire it sparks like crazy. also the Brown/white wire goes up to the gauge cluster.

Cut apart the main wire loom, here is what I can figure out by tracing wires and common sense Red-power supply Black- Ground/earth Red/white- brake kill switch, and the oil reservoir Brown White- Oil Reservoir Green- runs the length of the loom, then goes to a dark green. that dark green goes to the switch above the electric start button, also it goes to the CDI.
I am hoping from that information I can figure out what wire needs to go where in order to finally get the scooter running. any help or insight will be greatly appreciated |
