So I decided to get me a BRAND NEW 50cc scooter that I can ride legally without having to get a motorcycle license here in Texas. Decided to go with a Jonway/Denali 50cc aka Cougar Cycle 50cc. Purchased from motobuys. Your welcome to check it out: .motobuys.com/denali50-coug.html" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">.motobuys.com/denali50-coug.html Also found here under a different name: .cougarcycle.com/scooters/denali-50-cc/" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">.cougarcycle.com/scooters/denali-50-cc/So you can give me some feedback on the specs and any history you may have with the engine. Pointers? Feedback? Advice? You got it, I'll take it! Right now I'm going to be diving into taking delivery and first things to do list: I have heard a lot of people here and there talk about OIL! Don't run that thing with the factory OIL! OK! I believe you! I plan on swapping that out first! Any specific? I guess just a basic SAE30 or 10W-30 is what we generally use here in Southeast Texas. Second, Third, Forth? I haven't a clue. Need a little.... Need a LOT of help in this area. I appreciate anything you can throw my way. I'll continue to update this thread with my delivery and progress. Wish me luck!

i would be changing out the final drive gear oil as well,,with good quality oils for both engine and gearcase,,,go over the bike with wrenches to snug down everything,,,go to our library section to familiarize yourself with the valve lash adjustment,,,and make a modest investment in some decent quality hand tools if you're going to do your own service,,,then once it's broke in,,i'm sure you'll need to adjust the fuel mixture screw ,,,they bring them in the country super lean for smog reasons ,,,this proceedure is also in the library,,most mixture screws are capped off,,,easy enough to remove,,,thats a start anyways

cyborg no need to double yourself... I'm Roketa 250 on scooterdoc. Didn't know you were in both places. It looks like you have a stronger presence there. I just like to get multiple sources of information and try to do my research. Which site has a better library between the two? Thanks again! See you around.
