My favorite way to find cheaper gas is buying my groceries from Kroger Supermarkets--for every 100 dollars purchase, they give 10 cents a gallon off for gas--I know not everyone is fortunate enough to have a Kroger store with gas pumps, but for those that do,don't pass up these bargains-since our meat has become so expensive ,we are spending almost 100 dollars a week just for weekly groceries--so,it is another gripe of ours--high grocery bill--so ,might as well cut our losses where we can--good luck, scooterists, happy trails, fflintstone

No Krogers in our area.....but......"Tops Markets" are all over Western New York, and offer the exact same deal that you described above. (87 octane runs about $2.69) I do use it in the pickup and car.....but refuse to burn "Moonshine Gas" in my scoot or bikes. So, I'm driving 5 miles farther and paying $3.40 a gallon for 91 octane real gas. Only one station within 20 miles that has non ethanol. Not complaining about the price too much, 'cuz' it is a dollar cheaper than last year at this time.

My wife and I both drive a lot, we have the Wal Mart MasterCard. By using it at any Wal mart we get 5 cents per gallon off at the pump and for every $500 spent on the card and paid for we get $10 credit off the bill. We use this card ONLY for gas pay the bill in full each month so interest accumulates and for us it adds up to at least $500 a year in savings, not bad. With traveling softball and the fact my wife drives 60 miles one way to work we easily spend $500 a month on gas but it's been less with the price drop. During holidays they sometimes go to as much as 15 cents per gallon off by using the card, that adds up quick. We have Krogers here too and I do shop some and do have a Kroger card that I use too.
