Okay. So I adjust the screw in(clockwise) 1/4(how about an 1/8)of a turn. How long should I give it to settle in? I am asking to be sure. Plus I don't have the guide with me as I type this. One more thing. How often are "new" carbs actually bad? About the weights. Is that ok the 4-7's and 2-5's? Or should it be all the same or 3of x and 3of y? To adjust the carb you can go 1/4 at a time or 1/8 WAIT about 10 seconds between the setting to allow the motor to catch up with the new setting. Listen after you turn it each time YOU want to set the Fuel Ratio Mixture to get the HIGHEST IDLE. So listen after each turn if the IDLE GOES up give it another 1/8 turn. If ON THE LAST TURN the IDLE DID NOT GO UP turn it BACK the 1/8 and that should be the HIGHEST idle with the amount of air the carb is getting. Carbs usually do not go bad, if you have a cheap fuel filter particles can get through the fuel filter and CLOG the PILOTS JET and passages and outlets. But all you really have to do is CLEAN THE jets out and passages with a Spray Carb Cleaner they come with a long thin straw stick the straw in every hole you see and spray. Spray should come out wherever the outlets are. Alleyoop
