uuuuuuuuuuuggggggggggghhhhhhhhh.......ok varitor disassembled, cleaned and sliders put back. reaasembled. power back, vibration gone. but i have now gained a squeaking belt sound. the new belt i bought left a black ring that i had to scrap off before so i went back to the old belt. a powerlink belt that seems to be fine. maybe I should just wash the belt?

the new belt left a crumbly black dust like stuff all over the inside of the cvt cover. was it just breaking in or cheap crap. the black rings were on the outside of the pulleys , the furthest out the belt would go on each, variator, and clutch. the middles were nice clean and smooth.

You were right it's cheap crap, use the old belt and watch for a bargain gates powerlink, heck awhile some on Ebay were under $20 a real steal lots of folks bought one just for a spare, you might check again?

That squeeking sound was probably that belt slipping, get rid of it, check with Dave at Abscooters or one of our other above banner vendors.

will do cane I wash the old belt the belt looks good maybe just dirty. get a few more miles till i can find another gates?

Yes use dawn dishwashing liquid and very hot water and then set it out until good and dry.

thanks. gonna try and get a refund or replacement from beltsforscooters.com for the one thats leaving crumbling black stuff all over. wish me luck on that. lol
