Alleyoop, I would like your final comment about if this engine is a BN157QMJ. Thank you.

Hi tvnacman, The valve cover has four (4) bolts. Please see pictures posted. What can you tell about the engine? Thanks

No the BN157QMJ is not a 1P57QMJ, the 1P57QMJ engines head in the center is taller where the cam goes, larger valves and bigger ports. They produce a couple of HP more than the 'standard' GY6... Also I believe the cam chain has one more link because of the taller head. The big difference is the stud holes that center to center. Alleyoop

I have two scooters they have the same clutch and variator , longer/taller manafold . They run great!!!!!!!
Depending on your body weight you can play around with the rollers .

So it is an 1P57QMJ with a 250cc CVT configuration because of the 16 in. wheels. Thank you Alleyoop!

The scooter is like the one on my avatar, but I'll post a picture of mine to have a better view. I like it very much because of its design and wheel size, good for not such a smooth pavement we have here. However, I would like it to have more power because when sometimes two of us ride up by the many Caracas hills, it goes at 25 mph max. I'll try playing with the rollers weight.
Thank you John!

20x15 I think stock they are 12 or 13g . Riding two up go lighter like 11 or a mix of 11 and 12g it will bring your rpm up .

Hi, I'm not sure if I should open a new thread since my next question is not related to the previous topic. So please let me know for the future and my apologies if this is not right. I have read about different oil change intervals and I'm not sure what to do. I'm using MOTUL SCOOTER EXPERT 4T 10W40 oil (fully synthetic) and have been changing it every 1000 Km. Its price has increased a lot, so that made me think if I'm underutilizing it and consequently wasting my money. Please let me know your opinion. Thanks in advance.
