NO LIGHTS

I have no headlights, tail light or gauge lights. The blinkers work fine, as does the brake light. The turn signal indicators on the dash work also...just no headlights or running lights.

Do you have a LIGHT SWITCH on the right hand grip? Some you have a switch to turn them on.
Let me ask this BEFORE when you turned on the KEY did the gauge instrument panel lights and Gauges WORKED?
What worked after the motor starts or would everything work BEFORE the motor was even started by just turning the key on.
Reason I ask is some the headlights will come on when you start the motor automatically and you cannot turn them off unless you shut the motor off. And on some you have a switch and you can turn them on and off whenever you want. Alleyoop

Check your charging voltage at the battery and if it's 13.5Vdc or better with the scooter revved up then you either have a connection bad such as a plug or a broke wire. The gauge, head and tail lights are all on the same circuit so I'm betting a pulled connection start in the R/R area.

Connections are good, high/low beam switch is good, rectifier is good. I was looking at the schematic, and it looks like the yellow wire from the stator goes through the rectifier and then feeds the lighting circuit. Is that correct ? so, if I put the multimeter to ground, and to the yellow wire up stream of the rectifier, what should i have..ac voltage, or dc voltage ? and , how many volts should it be reading ? thanks for your help folks !

Check the yellow wire going to the hi/lo beam switch and BTW you need to check the ground wires, a pulled ground will yield the same results. You should read 12Vdc + at the hi/lo beam switch. But this is what bothers me the instrument gauge, head and tail lights are all on the same wire, sometimes the wire change color to brown where it ties to the yellow wire at the R/R. It would be hard to believe that all those bulbs are blown so I still say there is a pulled wire or cut wire. Now sometimes in these Chinese plugs one single wire/pin in a plug will not be making good connection ever though the plug looks properly plugged in. I would double check and yellow and or Brown wire. Also don't forget the ground wires usually green. JR
